You need to look at your website’s analytics to see what actually happens there. The best way to build links is to not build links. I’ve worked for companies in the past that don’t have to ask for them, they just flow in from press, customer blogs, their awesome blog posts, etc. If this is an option (and we’ll go over a couple of ways to make it more likely) you’re in a great place. Avoid unwieldy phrases and unnecessarily long descriptions, instead trying to say as much as possible with the smallest word count necessary. You need to come up with blog post ideas, and there are various sources of data that can help you come up with topics.
